Song Interpretation

The song I chose for this paper is Ice Box by Omarion ft. Timbaland. He is a 23-year-old male born Omari Grandberry in Los Angeles California. The Genre of this song is R&B and the Idiom is Soul.
To be completely honest I don't understand a lot of the instruments used in this song because Timbaland (the producer of the song) uses Hip-Hop drum instruments and beat-making machines to make his beats. The one I do recognize which stands out to me the most is the piano which plays throughout the whole song; mainly during the beginning of the song, each verse, and plays in the background of the chorus. The piano was used to bring out the beat more and to show more emotion in then song. For some reason when I hear the piano it tells me to open my ears more and listen to the lyrics of the song because he's letting out a lot of emotion in his words.
