Easter Island
Many years ago a small Island was found in the middle of the ocean. It was soon named Easter Island and held many mysterious questions that were yet to be answered. The island had a population of 2000, and when it was discovered, had no plants, no animals bigger than insects, and huge abandoned stone statues. Easter Island slowly collapsed because it was over populated, and they inhabitants had no environmental plan for the future.
The first lesson to be discussed about Easter Island is over population. The small island was only about sixty-four square miles and was very over populated. Easter island ran out of resources and had too many people to care for. The world today is starting to overpopulate rapidly and we can definitely learn from the mistakes made from the Islanders.
The second island to be learned from the inhabitants is environmental planning. When the natives first inhabited the island there were many tropical palm forest and good land to harvest......
