From the 1970s to the late 1990s, there has been a generation that has been known by the name Generation Y, among others. I am a part of this generation. There are many things that define a generation and how they come to be known as time goes on. Each generation before us and the generations after us will be different in many ways. The generation before us, known as Generation X, had in their lifetimes the Vietnam War, the beginning of technology to influence culture such as T.V. and radio, and the decline of colonial imperialism. The generation after us, which is coming to be known the New Silent Generation, has the internet at their fingertips since they have been born but has not been around long enough to be given a proper name.

The definition of every generation has, gives a meaning that everyone in this group of people that was born in this certain time demonstrates when acting in a certain way. Of course this is not for all of the people born in this period of time but......
