According to Scanlan (2006), more than 80% of college students feel cheating is essential to get ahead. Given how wide-spread this problem has become, many universities are seeking creative ways to stem the tide of dishonesty at school. Although there can be as many causes of academic dishonesty as different ways to cheat, many students and colleges prefer to seek methods which encourage high levels of academic integrity, thereby providing quality education and instilling a lifelong value of honesty.
