On September 28, 2007, I attended one of NCCU'S most important events, which is Fall Convocation 2007-2008. Fall Convocation was taken place on campus at the McLendon-McDougald Gymnasium. The event opened with a warm welcome from Dr. Beverly Washington Jones, whom is the Provost and Vice Chancellor for academic affairs. The main Speaker of the event was Chancellor Charlie Nelms. Before Chancellor Nelms became a member of the Eagle family, he served as the Vice President for Institutional development and student Affairs for the Indiana University system.
"A conversation with the family", was the title of Chancellor Charles Nelms speech. In his speech, chancellor Nelms discussed ways that student individuals and the entire eagle family could contribute to improve the university and our community.
