Geographic Information Systems (GIS) captures, stores, analyses and manages data that is geographically related. The system is capable of integrating, storing, analyzing, and sharing geographically-referenced information. GIS allows users to create queries that are interactive, analyze spatial information, data, and maps, and allows for the presentation of the results of these operations.
