To Kill A mockingbird
Atticus had to teach scout to be more concerned about peoples feelings as in the case of tom Robinson she didn't understand she had to see threw the color and to look on the inside. This is what Atticus had trying to teach them. Also since scout had been raised with a black motherly figure (Calpurnia) may have helped. Atticus was one of the few good men that could see threw the black people and understand there no different that's what he took the case of Tom Robinson and the phony rape charges. I also think that since it was a rape case nobody would tell scout what rape was so she couldn't get the facts straight. This is how scout changed threw out the book....
