One advantage is the ease of use. Everything has to be user-friendly in order to work. Another advantage is the real time updating. Up-to-date results or changes help decrease the waiting time. This is what a patient wants, less waiting time. A disadvantage would be bad information. It is possible for the system to fail at a split second and give the wrong information to the wrong patient and staff. Another disadvantage would be privacy. Everything has to be kept private at all times. This could be hard to do.
