Anne Bradstreet and Mary Rowlandson were two puritan women whose writing portrayed them to have had strong religious beliefs. Both Mary Rowlandson and Anne Bradstreet religious puritan values allowed them to survive the harsh struggles that they endured in their live Mary Rowlandson main struggle was her captivity when the Indians tried to regain the lands that belonged to their tribe. On the other hand Bradstreet struggled with childhood diseases and deadly childbirth experiences.
