In the movie, the characters that resemble those of the play, The Taming of the Shrew, have many similarities and many differences from the characters in the play. Also, the setting of the movie is very different from that of the play. The two characters I chose from the movie were Cameron and Joey Donnor.
The character of Cameron from “10 Things I Hate About You” resembles the character Lucentio from the play. I believe that these two characters are very different from each other. The character of Lucentio is very confident in himself, unlike Cameron who is very unsure of his chances of being able to go out with Bianca. Another difference between the two of them is that Lucentio is a very rich character and Cameron doesn’t seem to be from a very rich family. I thought this because Cameron’s car looked as if it was pretty old and very used. A similarity that I found between the two of them is that they both disguised themselves as some sort of teacher.
