Ever since the days of black and white television shows such as, “I Love Lucy,” and “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” government officials and parents alike have questioned the morality of the images being broadcasted into our home. Over four decades later the same question of morality is still inexistence. However the problems have evolved. There is no longer the question, “should the television husband and wife sleep in the same bed?” The question has evolved into; when does the depiction of sexuality become inaccurate, and how much does it influence me and everyone else?
With television evolving as well as the questions and the problems it processes we must decide if the networks have gone too far. Has the networks crossed a moral line? Have we as a public become so use to the sexual displays through animation, jokes, or just plain images of sex, that we have passed a point of no return?
