44 B.C. - Assassination of Julius Caesar

27 B.C. - 476 A.D.- The Roman Empire emerges

212 A.D. - Roman citizenship extended to all but slaves.

260 A.D. – Christianity legally tolerated in Roman World

476 A.D. – Entire Western Empire lost.
