Hamlet Final Analysis
I. Act I, ii “Though yet of Hamlet our dear brother’s death the memory be green, and that it us befitted to bear our hearts in grief, and our whole kingdom”
This quote portrays dramatic irony because Caudius is acting like he is davastaed and grieving for his brother’s death. Yet in reality it was he who killed his brother.
Act I, iii “Think yourself a baby that u have tane these tenders for true pay, which are not sterling.”
This quote portrays dramatic irony because Polonius is telling his daughter, Ophelia to act like a child, yet she is not, she is a young woman. Hamlet is following all the rules of courtship properly and she is of the age to be interacting with suitors.
