Marcus Garvey a historic black nationalist was well known as a man who fought for the people. His principles were strictly based on his on insight of African culture and the expansion of the African people. His was infamous for his “back to Africa” speeches throughout the United States. Followers and believers of Marcus Garvey have grown to call him Black Moses because of his similarities of Moses in trying to pursue a movement of his people back to their native land.
One of the points that Marcus Garvey used to convince listeners to follow his movement was the fact that Africans living in America would not be secure in their right as minorities. In this speech he attempted to prove that Africa was for Africans. Garvey spoke of the fact that European government leaders was looked at as Gods. Americans perceived George Washington as God Almighty and Great Britain perceived Hampden, Gladstone and Pitt......
