Global warming can be defined as a phenomenon where the average temperature of the Earth increases. It happens when greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, water vapour, nitrous oxide and methane trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere. These gases emitted from cars and factories. These man-made gases absorbed the infra red heat from the sun and make the earth warmer than it should be as the gases trapped in the atmosphere. Human made chemicals called ‘chlorofluorocarbons’ that have been used in spray cans, refrigeration materials and air-conditioner caused the ozone depletion and contribute to global warming as well. It is one of the most serious challenges facing us today as this phenomenon brings about many dangerous consequences to natural environment on the earth as well as human being.
