The USA Patriot Act abuses
The Patriot Act of 2001 violates the private citizen’s rights by violating the guaranteed privileges granted in the US Constitution. The American people have the right to privacy and this Act throws all aspects of that privacy out the window. No longer, can American Citizens or even those outside the United States borders, be certain that their personal information is theirs and theirs alone if the government deems it necessary to their cause.
The USA Patriot Act was enacted in October 2001 after the terrorist attacks on September 11th 2001. The Act was passed by Congress and signed into law for the stated purpose of fighting terrorism in the United States by expanding the powers of law enforcement agencies to help counter the threat of terrorist attacks. The USA Patriot Act is an acronym that stands for "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001" This......
