There are many movie versions of the play Hamlet by “Shakespear.” Each one of them has flaws and strengths; ones are older, while others are more recent but not necessarily better. The best versions of Hamlet are the ones directed by “Kenneth Branagh” and “Franco Zeffirelli”. Both of them have great flaws against the book, but also have strengths against one another. While Branagh’s version is based more on the words, acting, and plot, Zeffirlli’s is based more on setting. The biggest and most obvious differences that we see between the movies of each director are: the Ghost scene, the removed or added scenes, the acting, the set, and the editing. If only both versions were combined; that would make the best movie version of Hamlet.
