Brick walls are thick, heavy, and dark. Brick walls come across as intimidating structures to most and typically appear as a symbol of defeat or an ending. However, people can only build brick walls so high; therefore, all of these brick “endings” can truly be overcome through learning experiences. As the years pass, I am thankful for these brick walls in my path, for they have rewarded me with several valuable lessons. My younger brother’s trying disorder and my dad’s long unemployment have been obstacles encountered in my life that guided me through important life lessons.
