Crises Intervention Paper




Male client, age 27, has come in stating a variety of problems. He is currently serving in the

United States Army and has just returned from his second tour of duty in Iraq. Client states

that since his return he has had problems with sleeping, is irritable, anxious, and has violent

bursts of anger. Client is married with two very young children ages 2 years old and three

months. Client lives in New York but wife is currently living in California with her parents

due to his erratic behavior and unforeseen bouts of rage. Clients wife feels that neither she

nor her children are safe around client until he gets help for himself. Client has refused help

until this point because he has felt that he is less of a man if he admits that something is wrong

and that he needs help.

I would use a client-centered therapy as a counselor for this particular client because this kind of
