More specifically we wanted to look more in-depth into how exactly antimatter is produced and then later used in present daily life, as well as, in future years. An important part of understanding this topic is to first look back on history and see the evolution of thought that has brought us to our current knowledge in this particular field of study. Paul Dirac fist predicted the existence of antimatter, in 1928, when he combined special relativity and quantum theory in one equation.(1) His equation gave two solutions for the electron, the antielectron and electron. This equation later won him a noble prize. It wasn’t until 1932 however, that Carl Anderson detected the first antielectron while studying the trial of cosmic rays. He observed a track left by an object with the exact same mass but with a positive charge. More than twenty years passed......
