Gender Paper

The differences in social language between men and woman are astonishing. In this paper I will compare the differences between Jim, Jess, Kayla, and Jeff which is me. I will tie in what we already know about gender communication and how it relates to our conversation. This is a conversation between friends in a social setting.
“Jim let’s play your Wii.” This is me asking my roommate to play his video game. Take notice to the very first line I spoke in the conversation, I did not ask to play the video game, I gave an order. That is said to be a trait among men to give orders to form a social status. In this case I do not believe that our status is uneven. For instance when I was going into the kitchen for a drink Jim said “Grab me another beer.” This shows that we both tend to give orders to each other.
