Privacy is defined by dictionary.com as “the state of being free from intrusion or disturbance in one’s private life”. It is an issue that is continuously making a lot of people’s lives miserable. In the world today, there are many invasions of privacy. This invasion is causing so much havoc in the world. People are using other people’s personal details and it is making the other people life harder. In the following paragraphs, I will cover informational privacy issues that I have had and seen in the Army.
When I first joined the Army, I had to fill out a ton of paperwork. The questions that they asked did not seem like it was a big deal. They asked about my medical history. I figured that they needed to know this in case I had a problem that would need to be treated in the future. They also asked about drug abuse, alcoholism, and my sexual orientation.
