“The Choice”
An abortion is the removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus from the uterus, resulting in or caused by its death. In 2006, 1.28 million mothers made the choice to go through with the abortion procedure (AbortionNO). This choice is one of the toughest choices that parents will make in their lives. The choice to end the life of a child, their child, before it ever really begins. Sounds like a harsh act, doesn’t it? People against the pro-choice argument claim that giving parents the choice to abort is giving them the right to murder. Is the abortion of a pregnancy murder? In order for there to be murder, shouldn’t one first have a life. Murder is like deleting a file for your computer, taking something that has space and exists and destroying it. Abortion is more like canceling a download, taking something that is in the process of being, and making the decision to stop the process. Should parents be given the privilege to make that choice?
