Gender in Sport

The recent commercialism of sport and media involvement means it is difficult for different genders to participate in what sports they want to play. However wouldn’t this make it a lot easier for people to choose which sport they should play by setting boundaries for them.

Physical attributes and medical conditions are not the only factor that determines an individual’s decision whether or not to participate in a particular physical activity. Gender in sport is a huge factor that steps in the way of many people when they decide to participate in a physical activity.

Many individuals are confused when they choose a sport to play, many people are influenced by social factors, and in fact 44 percent of people locally said that they participate in sport for a social reason, however only 6.9 percent of people nationally said they participate in sport for social reasons, this may be caused by most of the survey filled out locally were under 20 years of age. 94......
