Capital punishment has been around since the beginning of time. Is this form of punishment helping us to improve our nation? Capital punishment was cruel then and capital punishment is cruel now. Although the people on death row have been convicted of hideous crimes, they are still Gods children and should be treated as such. Capital punishment is a form of torture. Capital punishment causes excruciating pain to ultimately end life. Rather it is electrocution, injection, shooting, or hanging. These people are shown no compassion in death, and leaves us to ask ourselves are we any better than those we are putting to death. They are all forms of torture and do nothing to detour crime.
