America. Naturally, this war-inflicted American generation soon created a culture with an

emphasis on suppression and orderliness to regain the missing pieces of those six years of

chaos. Moreover, this was the period of time in where the suppression of problems would

significantly impact the twentieth century. At the same time, the fifties forever

symbolized an era consisting of conservative, suburban, nuclear family lifestyles.

Due to the baby boom and constant surge of immigrants, it was also seen as the epoch of

a once grief-stricken economy and the proliferation of the American population. For

example, The birth rate per 1000 population in 1957 was 25.3 which is nearly two times
