I was asked to come to the office and helped David last Saturday morning. Surprisingly, I was told to do his financial statement for his upcoming divorce, which I found out that I had devoted my four hours doing nothing related with the city annual budget project. As my boss, I think you need to know about the incident. Personally, I believe what Mr. Rhoads request was beyond my working spectrum. I truly hope that you can take care of it for me.
In this incident, Mr. Rhoads has committed embezzlement. The reason why I am blowing the whistle is that it has obviously violated my professional standards. According the AICPA standards, a competent account should fulfill his responsibility to the general public, be honest and be objective and independent when his is involved in an argument.
