What is Chemotherapy and why does chemotherapy kill both “good and bad” cells?
Cancer is described as the disease that causes cells to grow out of control. Despite the fact that it is necessary for cells to multiply, cancer occurs when abnormal cells rapidly multiply out of control and harm the body. Metastasis is the process of cancer cells spreading and reproducing. When this process occurs, the cancerous cells spread throughout the blood and lymph system, and this spreads the harmful disease to other parts of the body. One very common method used to destroy and control the spread of cancer is chemotherapy.
The most common way cancer is formed is by genetic abnormalities. This can happen as a result of chemicals, smoke, and other infectious causes. Cancer can also be inherited from family members that carry the genes for the disease, known as a genetic disorder. Cancer can also occur as a result of damage of the DNA, known as a mutation.
