- Heuristics and Bias

“Attribution theory is a psychological theory about how people make casual attributions or explanations for the causes of actions and outcomes” (Plous S. (n.d). I believe this to be used more widely in our decision making. With this theory it is thought that people tend to feel the need to explain the why and how to their decision. Attribution theory decisions are also attributed to the decision maker’s mood for their behavior of the decision, the situation that caused the decision and possibly the time of the particular situation. (Plous S. (n.d).
Explanations are a normal rule of thumb for all humans; to give validated reasons for their decisions, because it is said that we can explain anything with a reason and how we go about explaining it.
