The movie ‘The Day After Tomorrow’ hit the cinema on 2004 without substantial success, but this movie is interesting to be discuss as the movie coveys a strong message about the effect of global warming if there is no significant actions taken by all governments nationwide. It can be assume that this movie is a way to put awareness to the continuity of mankind.
The movie is open up by initial warning given by the nature to the mankind. It proposes an apocalypse that covers the Northern Hemisphere in a sheet of ice and snow. Hailstones resembling crystal hit Tokyo, and furious tornadoes tear through Los Angeles, erasing the Hollywood sign (and also smashing the Capitol Records building). Later in the movie, a wall of water courses up Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, followed by a Russian containership, and then the whole thing freezes as a new ice age arrives.
The hero is Jack Hall, played by Dennis Quaid with a haunted look, Jack, whose research provides the best available model......
