As I look at essays from school and letters that I wrote to friends, my writing is like two different languages. For essays, I would write every single word out and my letters to my friends would have almost every word shortened. W/e, FYI, lol, w/b, lylas, brb. Sometimes I even use those words when I talk to my friends. I have even used the shortened words while I talked to my parents and they have told me to stop speaking gibberish and start speaking English. It is especially hard to write every single word out in school after summer break when all I did when I wrote was text my friends or write with the shortened words on MSN Messenger.
Texting is much easier for me to get in touch with my friends and family. I do not have to interrupt a meeting or something else important that they feel they have to answer me. Whereas, a phone call could be about anything and give the person the impression that the phone call is an emergency. But a text message can be short, simple, to the point......
