When I was growing up as a young boy, my father taught me lessons that I have kept through my entire life. I even used these lessons this summer as a counselor up in Maine. It made me realize what a big effect fathers have on their sons. My father had a huge influence on my teaching of young children and he didn’t even know it. It’s my belief that our current president has had the same thing happen to him, but in the opposite way. He did not really have a father present for him when he was a child. As humans, we all need a father figure to be there for us when we are young, I don’t think that the president has had this influence in his life. The lack of a father figure can impact the way you view your elders, and treat others, and how you go about your everyday life.

My father taught me that I should always be a good sport and shake the other teams hand no matter what the outcome of the game, so when it came time for me to shake hands with the other team, I did.......
