This paper will discuss the differences between business to customer (B2C) and business to business sites (B2B). The paper will include information on different marketing strategies such as email marketing, general online marketing strategies, and seven differences identified between the two.
B2B and B2C style of marketing are different. A number of people think that marketing is just cut and dry marketing and that marketing to businesses and customers are the same. Marketing for B2B and B2C are primarily the same. Marketing programs such as direct marketing, public relations, advertising, and word of mouth and how they are executed determines how they differ. One of the first plans for developing a marketing strategy for B2B and B2C is to know what customers to target and why they need the product or service. (Murphy, 2002)
