The Zimbardo Experiment conducted in Stanford University in the year 1971 by Philip G. Zimbardo lead to much debate (Zimbardo, 1999). People argued that it was cruel to have done such a thing to the fine young men. Others like me tend to just look at the data it showed to us. It gave us vital information as to the workings of human beings and the way they react when they are put in a position of power or when they feel that they have been stripped of all they know such as their freedom, sexuality, intelligence, etc. I think that this experiment was perhaps one of the best experiments I have ever read about. It gave us so much data in little under a week. It produced more information than any other simulation could ever hope to have given us at that time. No simulation in fact could have given as much data as this experiment did. I believe that this experiment was easy to produce and because of that no one expected to get as many results as they did.
