I used to be a PC user and one thing I “enjoyed doing” was customizing the UI (user interface) settings with free to use online downloads. Though I never found any that blew me away, most Windows 95 themes felt either a gothic satin metal band designed it or the designer just took from a bad power point theme, though it was certainly an improvement from the standard. College began my Catullus like relationship to Mac as the choice platform for the field of study I wanted to pursue, or to be blunt I would have done anything to just be virus free, and Macs were the only machines on campus that worked my first semester. As a new Mac user I found myself looking for desktop backgrounds and icons to make my Mac just a little more personal.
