Rush, gooey mud, and sky hugging trees are filled in a day of four wheeling. I have been estranged from nature since my childhood in Longview, which was spent in the classroom and the confinement of my home. In the fall of 2007, when the leaves where turning rusty orange, clouds of breath were in the air and rain drops fell from the clouds, I decided to enjoy nature. My good friend, Dwight and I headed up to Littlerock in his blue jeep.
Our day started off calm, a simple drive through the back roads. All around were Pine trees; it seemed like I had left Washington. I had a sensation of adventure, a feeling that a tourist would encounter. Never did I realize that this beautiful scene was in my backyard. The Pine trees around the jeep gave the illusion of magic. The window beside me was a magic show. At one point a deer had stopped on the edge of the road and watched the blue jeep pass by, as though we were the ones in a zoo, and the next moment it disappeared.
