Isn’t it funny how a book that teaches so much about censorship is itself censored? In Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 he tries to provide society with a warning about not letting minority pressure, technology, and media take over society’s lives and ways of thinking. All of this useless knowledge being shoved into the public’s face’s without anyone asking question about why things are done, is corrupting society more than people know and realize. The world is becoming so mindless in its ways that the hours of mind-numbing entertainment, television, and useless, shortened information is “dumbing” people down to a state of no thinking or thought process. Because people are demanding to-the-point information due to laziness, a severe lack of quality information has come upon us. This not only happens in Fahrenheit 451 but in our society today.
This novel about firemen who are paid to set books ablaze is more important now than ever before......
