Carl Gustav Jung lived from July 26, 1875 to June 6, 1961 and was a Swiss psychiatrist was the founder of analytical psychology. He wanted people to understand the psyche through exploring the worlds of dreams, art, mythology, world religion and philosophy. Much of his life's work was spent exploring areas like Eastern and Western philosophy, alchemy, astrology, sociology, as well as literature and the arts. His most best ideas include the concept of the collective unconscious. The collective unconscious is basicly an inborn unconscious psychic material common to humankind, accumulated by the experience of all preceding generations. Jung was acquainted with a man named Sigmund Freud who was an Austrian psychiatrist who founded the psychoanalytic school of psychology. He is best known for his beliefs of the unconscious mind and the defence of repression and for creating the clinical practice of psychoanalysis for curing psychopathology through the speeking between a patient and a......
