Motivation
Motivation is a force that is found in every person. There are varying levels of motivation in every person. Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory states that there are five needs within every person that motivate us. These needs are known as the physiological, safety, social, esteem and self-actualization. According to his theory, esteem needs include internal factors such as self-respect, autonomy, and achievement and external factors such as status, recognition, and attention. While I agree that most people are motivated by the internal and external factors, I believe that I am motivated 95% internally.
I have been playing sports since the third grade. I have played on many different teams including soccer, football, basketball, hockey, lacrosse and baseball. By high school, I mainly focused on football and lacrosse. Lacrosse is my strongest sport without a doubt. Unfortunately, lacrosse went extremely unnoticed at my high......
