Nowadays, we can hear everywhere about addictions. Drug abuse is many things. It is

the heroin user injecting his bag of “H”, the college student smoking “pot”, and the junior

high school student sniffing model airplane glue. Moreover, it is also the adult with a

persistent head ache or toothache taking more and more “pain pills”, or the adult starting

his day with pills. In my paper, I would like to present drugs’ problem.

According to Harold D. Love, who wrote “Youth and the Drug Problem”, the problem

of drugs is a problem of ignorance, lack of knowledge about the effects of most drugs on

the human mind. Drugs abuse is a complex problem. It is really popular among young

people, who look for some knowledge and they hope to find sense of life pleasure and
