A conflict theorist would view this as a struggle for money and power between the rich and poor people of this once prosperous Nigerian port.
Rebel gangs in Nigeria have been doing all they can to gain power in the city. Their efforts have good intentions but the violence has only widened the economic divide between those with access to oil money and those without.
