Contrary to the view portrayed by Hobbes, Emil Cioran, Romanian philosopher, says quite the opposite, “Life without utopia is suffocating, for the multitude at least: threatened otherwise with petrifaction, the world must have a new madness.” Is it madness to be suppressed by a ruler or by the complete uniformity of a community?
