The influence of the media on America
There are many things in this world that can have an influence on the minds of people in today’s society. Some examples are friends, family members, teachers, and role models. It’s been argued though that the biggest influence, and probably the worst influence on society today is the media. Most people believe that the media is a bad influence is because they promote things that make people look at themselves differently, and make them believe that in order to fit into the quota of this society they need to change specific things in order to be happy.
I believe the media can have many bad influences on America because it makes people want to change the way they look, the way they dress, and the way they act so they can be accepted by society. One example of this is the supermodels and the Barbie dolls shown on television. The media portrays these as being the ideal......
