The Constitution of the United States of America is the supreme law of the United States, which provides organization for the United States Government. In writing as a Federalist, it was thought that there was no need for the bill of rights because the Federalists believed that the preamble brought out the people’s rights. The Federalist were in favor of the ratification of the Constitution of the United States.
Federalist #10 is an essay by James Madison and the tenth of the Federalist Papers, which is a series arguing for the ratification of the United States Constitution. The Federalists favored a strong federal government which would more closely unite the states as one large nation. The Federalist favored the system of “checks and balances”. They believed that the Constitution was there to better the people by having a system of “separation of powers”. Within this system, there were three branches of government.
