A number of things would be different today if a matriarchal religion like the cult of Inanna had survived to be a major religion. The world would hold women in higher regards than what we have today.
Without going too far back into history we could look at instances that women were oppressed.
We can take the Women’s civil right movement for example. Until the middle of the nineteenth century American society was based on a patriarchal order. Society would not be that way if the cult of Inanna had survived, the patriarchal order would not be held and women would not have to fight for their rights as equals to men. It would rather be that men would have to fight for the equality to women.
In some Mid-East countries women are kept in the house and the shadows, and they are must be covered from head to toe all of the time. Situations like that would be different; women would have more rights and freedoms than they currently do.
