I King Tut or Tutankhamun was born on 1341B.C.E and died 1323B.C.E in Egypt. I king Tut ruled over Egypt from 1361-1352 B.C.E, also became the twelfth Egyptian pharaoh of the Eighteenth Egyptian Dynasty. This was all during the Egyptian period known as the new kingdom; and I reigned this dynasty for approximately ten years; I became the most famous of Pharaoh’s not just for the mere reason of how young I was when I became pharaoh; but that the tomb that belonged to me was discovered mostly intact, and full of treasure in the 20th century. [1] Tutankhamun was not the name given to me at birth, but instead Tutankhaten (meaning "Living Image of the Aten”) given to me by my parents.
