“Having Our Say”, a book written by Amy Hill Hearth, is an intriguing book that sends a powerful message to me about blacks, whites, sexism, and how unfair life is to some. I personally liked this book because I tells me that even when the odds are against you 98 to 2, that 2 percent is worth taking if a point is need to be made. Sadie and Bessie are two people I cant personally relate to because of their complicated lives but because of that I’m more open to some people’s opinions as it might turn up to be something helpful. This book taught me that life is unfair and that sitting here and waiting wont get me the finer things. Just like Bessie, I should find what I want and reach out to grab it.
