Radio owes its development to two other inventions, the telegraph and the telephone. All three technologies are closely related. Radio technology began as a “wireless technology”, and is defined as a wireless telegraphy or telephony that is also used as an apparatus for receiving or transmitting radio broadcasts. It all started with the discovery of “radio waves.” Radio waves are electromagnetic waves that have the capacity to transmit music, speech, pictures, and other data invisibly through the air.
Over 120 years ago radio waves were first invented by a man named Heinrich Hertz. This was caused by a spark leaping across a gap that generated electromagnetic waves. Hertz was a German physicist who demonstrated that rapid variations or electric current could be projected into space in the form of radio waves similar to those of light and heat. 1894, seven years after Hertz invention, a man by the name of Guglielmo Marconi invented a spark transmitter......
