Just a few years from now the most powerful, advanced computers on the market today will be museum pieces. Tomorrow there will be wearable PCs.
Compared to today’s standards the first computer built in 1942 called ENIAC was an enormous ugly monster. It took up an entire room, weighed over 30 tons, had 19,000 vacuum tubes and consumed almost 200 K Watts of electrical power. The first desktop computer named UNIVAC was designed in 1950, by then desktop literally meant the size of a desk.
Today’s PCs have flat screen LCD monitors with the CPU attached behind it. We can buy laptop computers portable, weigh less than 2kgs and don’t even have to be plugged in. Further Note book computers are so thin; even they can be placed inside an envelope. Not only the computers shrunk in their size, Today’s computers are 400,000 times faster, have that much more memory and capable of doing far too many tasks.
