The Civil Rights Based Approach to pornography is a long and complicated ordinance that has two parts to it. First, for someone to be breaking the law, they have to do something stated in the ordinance. The ordinance states, “Pornography is the graphic sexually explicit subordination of women, whether in pictures or words, that also includes one or more of the following:
1. Women are presented as sexual object who enjoy pain or humiliation,
2. Women are presented as sexual objects who experience sexual pleasure in being raped, 3. Women are presented as sexual objects tied or cut up or mutilated or bruised or physically hurt,
4. Women are presented as sexual objects for domination, conquest, violation, exploitation, possession or use, through postures or positions of submission or servility or display,
5. Women are presented being penetrated by inanimate objects or animals,
6. Women are presented in scenarios of degradation, injury, torture, dismembered or truncated or......
